Meet Directions

Detweiler Park

Detweiller Park is located north of Peoria on Illinois Route 29.

From I-74 in downtown Peoria, exit at Adams street (a one-way street) and drive northeast approximately 5 miles to the park.

The course is on the west (left) side of the road.

Mahomet-Seymour - Lake of the Woods Park

I-74 exit # 174 Prairieview Road

Go North 1/2 mile to stop

Turn left (west) go 1/2 mile to the stop sign at the bottom of the hill

Turn left (south) go 1/4 mile to the top of the hill and turn right into the main entrance of the park

Spectators should park in the big parking lot by the Lake to the right (Northeast) of the main entrance road and walk across the street to Swiss Valley.  Cars on the Swiss Valley Road will be in the way of runners and spectators.

 

East Peoria (Central) J.H.S.

run at Fon-du-lac park/Lincoln school

 

(78 MILES RT) I74 (west) to 1st East Peoria exit (Washington Street).  Take Washington left to Springfield road.  Up the hill right past Lincoln school.  The park is next to the school.

 

CHAMPAIGN

Directions to Robeson Park (directly west of Robeson School --2501 Southmoor Drive)

From I-74

Take the Prospect Avenue exit turning right (south) at the stop light.

Continue heading south on Prospect until you reach the intersection of Prospect and Kirby Avenue

Turn right onto Kirby Avenue

Stay on Kirby Avenue until you reach Scottsdale Drive (approx. 1.5 miles-it will be on the left)

Turn left onto Scottsdale

Continue on Scottsdale until you reach Southmoor Drive (approx. .5 mile)

There will be a 4 way stop sign

Turn right going past Robeson School to the cul-de-sac and Robeson Park

 

Tri-Valley

(run at Moraine View State Park)

Take Route 150 East to Leroy.  At Casey's in Leroy, turn left.  Your are on the Lexington-Leroy blacktop.  Travel until you see the sign indicating "Moraine View State Park".  Turn right at the sign.  Drive straight into the park until you reach a T intersection.  turn right at the T to the sign indicating the boat ramp and concessions area.  Turn left at the sign to the boat ramp where the race begins.

(84 MILES RT) I55 north to Pontiac a right (east) at exit 197.  At the top of the ramp, turn right (east) on Rt. 116.  Follow Rt. 116 (will turn left at stoplight onto Old Route 66 then right at stoplight onto Howard St.).  Proceed on Rt. 116/Howard St. through Pontiac and turn left onto Elm Street and school will be on the right at the corner of Elm Street and Indiana Avenue.  Parking for all sports in lot in front of school on Elm Street.  Football and Track just before the school on the south side.

(96 MILES R.T.) I-74 west to Peoria exit 93 (Adams St.)  Right on Adams St./SR’s 24 & 29 for 9 miles to Detweiller Park on your left.

Delavan H.S. & J.H.S.

(80 MILES R.T.) Rt. 9 west of Bloomington (straight west, don’t make any turns until you intersect with I-155) for about 25 miles going south on I-155 to a right (west) at exit 15.  Proceed about 5.5 miles to Delavan and turn left on Locust St. to the school at 907 Locust.  SOFTBALL:  Follow these directions, but when you get into Delavan, go to the 4 way stop in downtown and turn right on County Highway 2 and proceed to the intersection with East A street and you will see the softball field on the right.
