E-Books and Reading Strategies

E-book software programs provide a variety of features which can be taken advantage of by teachers.

Terence W. Cavanaugh has created the e-Book Reading Strategies (eBRS) program to provide students with technology-integrated literacy instruction. This program was developed for the MS Reader application.

In order to explore reading strategies using e-books,

  1. Download Cavanaugh's eBooks and Reading e-book for reference.

  2. Download an e-book of your choice from DotLit, to use for the "assignment."

  3. Complete the eBRS worksheet. You may need to refer to Cavanaugh's site, eBooks and Reading, and/or MS Reader's Help in order to complete the worksheet.
