Make your own E-Books

Teachers and students can make their own e-books in a variety of formats

For Plain Text format, use any word processor

For HTML format, use Microsoft FrontPage, Dreamweaver, etc.

For PowerPoint (can be converted to HTML), create slides for each page and record narration.

• PowerPoint e-book directions and template

For MS Reader format

Option #1

• Download the Read in Microsoft Reader plug-in

• Create your text in Microsoft Word and save

• Go to File... and select Read...

• Fill n the information in the pop-up window

Option #2

• Download the ReaderWorks software program

• Create your text in Word or another word processor and save it to its own folder

• Start ReaderWorks and build the e-book. Tutorial can be found here.
