Rats by Paul Zindel

This book reminds me of Scabbers--but just a little.  In the Muggle city of New York, billions of rats are terrorizing people in lots of nasty ways.  Lots of gore! It is up to 15-year-old Sarah to try to save the day.  Me, I would just transfigure them into something else.  It's much more complicated to solve problems when you're a Muggle.

 I Was A Rat! by Philip Pullman

This book is kind of the opposite of Scabbers--a rat who was somehow turned into a boy!  Is it for real?  Is the boy really the "The Monster of the Sewers" like the people say he is?  Read this book and find out!
