Dear Chiddix 7^th Grade Basketball Team Families,

            At the parent’s meeting, we discussed parents supplying meals for the away games.  This has worked well in the past since students are not allowed to keep food in their lockers.

Two families are responsible for buying, supplying, and transporting (or getting the meals on the team bus) a meal for each away game that is out of town. The list of dates/games, names, and phone numbers are attached.  Please keep in mind that as long as each of us follows through, your son is guaranteed a decent meal following their out of town games.

There are 20 people (including the Coach) to feed.  Your meals need to be brought to Chiddix and put on the team bus or brought to the game. Coach Chaplin will allow the boys to eat in the school’s cafeteria after the 7th grade game.

We will call to remind you 2 weeks before your assigned meal.  At that time, you need to:

1.      Contact the other family.

2.      Decide what your meal will be and how you will get it to the boys on time.

3.      Order/buy the meals and drinks.

4.      Pick up and pay for the meals and drinks.

5.      Transport (or put on bus) and make sure the meals and drinks get to the team on time. (If it is possible, it works best for Coach if we transport the meals in our own vehicles.)

• Coach has requested that drinks include water or Gatorade only. No soda!
• Please make sure that one of the meals does not include any pork products.
• The only allergy that we are aware of is fish.

Some suggestions of meals that have worked in the past:

• Sandwich(travel better without condiments on the sandwich),Chips, Grapes/Apple, Water/Gatorade, Dessert

• Pizza – 2-3 slices each(Order from the town we are traveling to.), Grapes/Apple, Water/Gatorade, Dessert 

The last we checked, these are in order from least to most expensive.
