Chess Team Success On Saturday, 11 members of the Chiddix Chess Club competed in the Tri- Valley Chess Tournament and brought home the 2nd place Team Trophy.The team consisted of Shreyas Sriram, Rahul Sinha, Tanmay Shah, Jose Mancias, Sidhu Krishnamoorthi, Karthik Karra, Lokesh Julakanti, Tejas Idate, Jacob Gilhaus, Parker Brown, and Emily Brown. Several members also brought home individual trophies as follows: Emily Brown - 1st Place 8th grade Karthik Karra - 2nd Place 6th grade Rahul Sinha - 3rd Place 7th grade Tanmay Shah - Biggest Upset - beat a player with a rating 502 points higher than him! |

Winter Weather Parents/Guardians: Please read Superintendent Dr. Gary Niehaus' message concerning winter weather. Please consider creating a family plan so that your student will know what to do in the event of early dismissal due to inclement weather. Discuss whether your child should ride the bus, who will pick up your child, when and where to meet, etc. Having a plan in place in advance will help students remain calm and comfortable should the need to dismiss early arise. |
