HOW SHANNON AND LEYLA REALIZED HOW MUCH THEY HATED BATTERIES

So Shannon and I thought we would make a wonderful battery, and we were hoping that everyone would admire our battery, and we were positive we would get 100 out of 100 points for this assignment. But as soon as we entered the IMC and immersed ourselves in the world wide web, hunting for recipes for homemade batteries, we realized that making a battery did not interest us at all, since we genuinely hate physics. After due consideration, we came to a conclusion that we would make something that would be interesting to us and to other students in our class. And then for some reason I got this flashback about my dad making Russian vodka. “Eureka!”, I exclaimed. “Hey, Shannon, let’s make vodka! I’ll email my dad and ask him for his recipe!” And so I did, and since yeast is very expensive, Mr. Chris suggested that we use yeast extract that he had had in his chemistry lab for twenty years. This was how Shannon and I found out that yeast extract and yeast are two different things. We learned our lesson. So then our generous chemistry teacher got us some real yeast, and we proceeded to mix all the stuff up, as indicated in the log. The mashed peas and the yeast smelled absolutely horrid. That part of the experiment was not enjoyable, but altogether it was fun. However, Shannon and I erred, and as a result, the alcohol evaporated. We should have put some kind of lid on top of the beakers.

(Bad...very bad)
