My name is Lora Boyd.  I will be the teacher in your child’s classroom.  Some of you might remember me from last year.  I have really enjoyed working with children in unit 5 for the  last seven years.  I am excited to have another amazing time this school year!

This is my family.  I have two sons both attending unit 5 schools.  My oldest is Peyton and he will be starting NCHS this year.  It seems like just the other day I was putting him on a unit 5 bus sending him off to school when he was 3 years old.  I cried.  It is just as hard sending him off to high school.  David is going to CJHS.  We are always busy picking him up from practice.  He tries out for every team. 

I have had many great experiences with many students.  I have attended trainings on Autism and PDA classes here at Unit 5.  I just graduated with my Masters in Reading here at ISU.  I am also certified in CPI and CPR.  I am looking forward to a great year!
