Lemonade Stand

Mrs. Callis and Mrs. Current's classes will be selling lemonade and kool-aid during each recess on Monday, May 21st. The cost will be in increments of 25 cents. Students should look for commercials during the Benjamin Broadcast this Friday. Students should bring their money with them to lunch on Monday, as they will not be allowed to return to classrooms for money.

Noon Hour Supervisors Needed

We are in need of 3 noon hour supervisors at our school to help out during the lunch/recess time. The duties involve assisting and supervising students, helping to reinforce lunch/recess expectations, and ensuring that our students are safe. The hours are from 11:15 A.M.-1:15 P.M. each school day. These are paid positions. If you are interested, please contact Mrs. Bennington at (309)557-4410

New Red Zone Drop-off Procedures

In order to make our morning parent drop off system more efficient, we will begin implementing our Red Zone drop off process when we return from break on Wednesday, January 4, 2012. If you are dropping off your child(ren) before school, please let them out on the passenger side of the car once you reach the portion of the curb that is painted red. Do not park in the cross walk area. Once your child is out of the car and your car doors are shut, pull forward and exit the parking lot. This will allow the next group of cars to pull into the Red Zone. Please do not wait until your child has entered the building to pull forward and leave, as this greatly slows down the drop off process. If you need to park your car and get out, please park in one of the actual parking spaces in the lot. Thank you for your assistance with this and for helping to keep our students safe.
