About Mrs. Alcorn

I have lived in Bloomington- Normal for 10 years.  I received my undergraduate degree in Special Education from Illinois State University.  I taught 2 years in the suburbs of Chicago.  I came to Hoose in 1999, and taught in the Self-Contained Behavior Disorder program for 7 years.  In 2006, I switched to LD Resource.  I am currently working on my Master’s in Reading from ISU; I will be finished in May.

My husband works for Karri Scharf Materials as a heavy equipment operator.  We have one child, a boy named Chase.  He is starting Kindergarten this year at Carlock.

In my free time, I like to watch my husband race his late model race car in Lincoln, IL.  And now Chase has a quarter midget that he will soon be racing.  I also like cooking and shopping.
