Chiddix PTO - Fall 2015 Box Top Competition
The Chiddix PTO is always collecting Box Tops For Education and receives 10 cents for each Box Top received. So, from Oct. 26 through Nov. 20th, we’re going to see which Chiddix homeroom class can collect the most!
During these days, students can bring Box Tops to their homeroom classroom and place them in the red and white container marked “Chiddix Box Tops.” The Box Tops will be tracked, and the classroom who collects the most value in Box Tops will receive a Dairy Queen Dilly Bar party after Thanksgiving break.
Last year, the Chiddix PTO raised more than $700 from the Box Tops for Education program. This money allowed the PTO to buy equipment for the school, provide appreciation for teachers, and give support to our school.
Box Tops are typically found on products from General Mills, Land O’ Lakes, Ziploc, Hefty, Mott’s, Green Giant Fresh, Reynolds, Kleenex and Scott tissue. For more information on the Box Tops program in general, please visit the program website at www.boxtops4education.com.
Due to the low local supply of the Meningococcal Conjugate Vaccine (MCV), all students entering 6th and 12th grade in Unit 5 schools will be allowed an extended deadline of October 15, 2015 for this vaccination ONLY. Students must meet all other required immunizations in order to attend the first day of school. Please contact your school principal or nurse should you have questions regarding this matter.
Each year, volunteers must "register" online, even if they volunteered the previous year. Please click the link above for information about the volunteer registration process.
INVEST IN YOUR CHILD'S FUTURE
Unit 5 has been involved with Vision 20/20, which is a student‐centered vision for the future of education in Illinois. It focuses on four policy priorities: highly effective educators, 21st century learning, shared accountability, and equitable and adequate funding. To learn more about Vision 20/20, CLICK HERE.
